Sunshine in my soul today

This might seem like a ridiculous title for my blog today since we have had rain for four or five days straight. But, the grass is green, my flowers are blooming again and from what I hear people's ponds are filling back up again. In Texas when it rains it pours, when it doesn't you have a drought and burn ban. The actual sunshine in my life is seeing the little ones the past few weeks to cheer me up with their smiles. I am sick of pain, sick of gas, sick of burning intestines, sick of a terribly sore shoulder that hardly moves...but bring those little ones over and I can forget it all for a little while. That is why Heavenly Father made grandchildren. Maren (Brown) has been posting funny pictures of Jocie Bel and her on her facebook. Oh, how they have made me laugh.

I didn't realize how far behind I am in posting pictures. So here are a few from the past two months.

Eric loves holding baby Kyle
In the months of May and June, we had four birthdays to celebrate. What we do is celebrate them altogether rather than one birthday at a time. This is Joe, Meigan's dad and his birthday cake. According to Joe, you don't buy a carrot cake from Kroger's. Joe, I still owe you a real carrot cake.
Emma lights Eric's cake (chocolate on chocolate)
Meigan's birthday cake. She loves cakes from Baskin Robbins and of course Maren was ordered to make it, OK requested to make it. Meigan never orders anybody around...she is too darn sweet.
Here is Hayes with his Green Lantern chocolate chip cookie cake. Do you think there is enough green on the cake?
Gabi absolutely loves her Grandpa. She is the little, little tease..Eric is the big tease and Maren Kenzie is the little tease.
Eric opening his grill lighter which is made in the shape of a gun.
Aah, how Papa loves those kisses
Meigan opens her birthday present. I think Chad is beginning to nod off.
Everybody is having fun (Maren, Isabella, Peggy, Meigan and Chad...he woke up). Oh and yes, Eric's hair is turning a beautiful white just like his dad's
Marshall loves being a daddy
Hayes is the Green Lantern and Emma is Batman...or Batwoman
Mark, Chad and Meigan
Hayes shows off his Green Lantern ring and mask
OK, Isabella found this in some clothes from her cousin. I don't
know Grandpa..is that on the right way?
Braydon, always the clown...his hero is Uncle Kyle..two peas in a pod
Kyle loves to lay on the floor and fly...he is such a cutie
Kyle says, "Grandma will you please tell my daddy that I want the pacifier!"
Isabella loves Emma
Our family loves to get together and the smiles on all the grandchildren's faces make me smile. I will post some videos soon.
