Holland's Blessing Day

What a wonderful day this has been. Church seemed to belong to the Petersens today. Baby Holland was blessed today by his dad, Kyle. Maren sang a beautiful song called "Become Like Him" and touched many hearts. Marshall gave a great talk in church about revelation and also the Atonement. Kyle gave Holland a beautiful blessing, and we know he will grow up to be a wonderful young man.

After church, Holli's family and our family got together here at our house for some great brisket and all the trimmings. I should have taken a picture of the food table. Wow, what a spread. We were all filled to the brim after dinner.
We were able to get our photo with Holland
before anybody else...Grandparents' privileges
I didn't know that while we were getting things ready
for dinner that the Kyle Petersen family was outside
taking beautiful pictures on a beautiful day (weather
was perfect)
Holli, Gabi, Holland and Kyle
Yes, Kyle is happy to have a son
Holland's middle name is Marshall; thus
Marshall holding Kyle
It is difficult on some days to get a picture
of Isabella without her nuk inside her mouth.
But those eyes, they get you every time.
Gabi and Braydon eating their yummy lunch. I
don't know if you can see it very well, but Gabi
lost her top front tooth last night. She was so
proud of herself because she got it out by herself.
Shannon and Kyle...how about those big blue eyes
Yes, Kyle is with his boy quite a lot
And who made the cake? Maren
Where is Gabi? Outside writing with chalk on the sidewalk.
This is Carolyn who belongs to one of Marshall and Kyle's
friends. Nobody knew she had gotten into the dining
room where the desserts were spread out. Why ask mommy
what you can have when you can get it yourself?
The many faces of our sweet little Kyle
"This is my popeye face"
"Oh, Daddy, do I have to get off of here?"
"Maybe if I say a prayer, Daddy will let me stay on here"
Nothing in this world matches the joy of being together with family especially on special days as today's was. There were other members of the family celebrating with us but I guess I was too busy eating when they sneaked out of the house; those people would be Chad, Meigan, Emma, Syd, Hayes, Maren, and Ryan. I am sure everybody is at home taking a long nap after filling their stomachs with good food and filling their hearts with the love of family.
