| Isabella and her "pony" as she calls it |
When we look at Isabella at certain times,
we think we are looking at Jocie; and for Isabella
that is a great thing.
Kyle loved eating Marshall's birthday cookie.
Uh, Marshall...your daughter doesn't arrive until
July 4th. Are you getting anxious? Just love
Kyle's look.
Oh, those eyes and that smile; oh, and also
the curls.
Gabi twisted her ankle a little bit at soccer and she felt that something needed to be done to make it better. So, Kyle pulled out an ace bandage from our house and wrapped it for her. Here she is donning the beautiful version of Dr. Kyle's fix the ankle procedure. And, Gabi reported to us that it definitely made a difference and healed her ankle.
This is our newest grandbaby Holland Marshall Petersen. He is growing just like Kyle did when he was a baby (our son Kyle..gotta keep up with these names). Kyle was a big chubbo and had thighs that some elastic waist pants wouldn't go over. I think Kyle and Holli just might have the same problem with Holland. As I look at Holland, he reminds me so much of David (my nephew) and Ali's boys. This doesn't surprise me because I always thought that while Kyle was growing up, he looked more like Greg than he looked like his siblings. We just adore Holland and listening to him coo and watching him smile.
Guess who loves her papa?
Yes, I am becoming even more domesticated. I have learned how to can meat and had canned some chicken and some beef. This is hamburger meat that Maren and I canned one night. We finished at 12:30 in the morning; however, it is so rewarding when you see those jars with lids that have sealed. We canned 16 jars.
For this project, I used my vacuum sealer and
sealed goldfish (no not real ones). I have already
sealed cheez-its. This is an experiment to see how
long, they will stay crispy.
Marshall and Braydon look so excited for Marshall's
birthday. They both became excited once the cookie was cut.
Ok, blogger has changed to a new format and I don't like it at all. Actually I don't like change. Once I have learned to do something I want it to stay that way all the time. Therefore, not knowing how to properly use this new system, this video of Braydon at baseball will stay to the right of this page. I can't get it to move to the middle. HELP! Ok, tried to change it again, and now it is on the left. I give up.
This is the first year that Braydon is playing baseball where they are pitched to. The team is learning how to make contact with the ball. He has made some good hits. This one was a foul ball, but we get excited any time he hits the ball.
I found this picture of Emma with Holland when he
was smaller. Emma has the most beautiful smile.
Kim sent me this picture of Blake, Maren and Jocie
this evening while they were dying Easter eggs. Oh,
how I miss those smiles.
I don't remember posting this picture of Kyle on his
first birthday. For me, the grandma, I like them to
get as dirty as possible with cake and frosting.
Woo Hoo!! I love this cake.
This is Isabella, our dancer that can boogie.
She makes me laugh as do all of our grandchildren.
They do a fantastic job of making me smile.
Well, great grandpa (my dad) and great grandma (Eric's mom), I do my best to update you with the photos. Hope this blog brought some smiles your way.
And to all other readers, I hope these photos have brought a smile to your faces also.
