Waiting out the storm on Long Island

How unreal is this that I am watching the Weather Channel on the tip of Long Island watching Tropical Storm Eduardo head toward my house. Oh, well--we definitely evacuated!!! At times like this, I realize how much our children love us. My cell phone has been ringing all day with questions from the kids--what can we do, what should we do, Mom you usually organize everything. Even Kim, who is 1500 miles away, called to see what I needed her to do since I was not at home. Family is everything. The storms might hit, there might be turmoil; but in the end, the only thing that matters is family. Thank you dear children for watching out for things while we are away. We are praying, of course, that you all will be safe and sound.
