Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday

November is a busy month for birthdays here in the Petersen family--Chad, Holli, and Shannon. We got together on Sunday afternoon for cake and ice cream (OK, so I forgot to put out the ice cream). Opening gifts seemed to be enjoyed by the celebrants. Here are some photos from our family birthday afternoon.

So we're not the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Chad opens his present for his 37th birthday
To show you how much I love my son...I
actually bought him a Texans shirt (I should have
bought him a Cowboys shirt just like mine)
Chad loves surprises and wow was he ever
surprised when he opened this gift from Meigan
and all the kids....tickets to see the Texans play
(I forget which team). Meigan told him, though,
that he better bring a pair of binoculars!
Chad opens this gift and says, "No way.
I was going to surprise Meigan with one
for Christmas." Too late Chad!
I think he was checking out the snuggie blanket
to make sure it didn't say Dallas on it
Chad is proud of his little(?) crew. Only,
Drake was missing.
The men, or should I say the Three Musketeers?
Gabi loved seeing what Holli received for her
birthday. Gabi is a jewelry lover like her mom.
More jewelry...now Holli is really smiling.
Holli, I'm sorry; but I think Gabi stole the
show in this picture. (Love the blouse by
the way. Somebody has good taste)
Shannon's turn.
We are keeping her warm this winter. Snuggly
sweater and a scarf.Ah, Maren knew what to get a person who
hates to be cold...nice and warm, snuggly socks.
Oh, and candles, too.
Shannon is happy...Emma? Maybe running for
some more cake?Eric, always ready for a church meeting.
We had to plan the celebration around his meeting.
Isabella loves Uncle Kyle and Uncle Kyle loves
Isabella. He is fantastic at getting Isabella to smile.
How can you resist that face? You can't.
Gabi and Isabella posing in their twin panda
hats. Gabi loves to wear clothes that match
Isabella. And the moms love it that Gabi loves
to match Isabella.

Sunday was a fun day. We hadn't seen Emma and Hayes for a while because of Emma being on Flag Corp; because of football season, Emma had to stay in Katy for the games. "I'm so glad we had this time together". (Who said that?)!

Oh, and this is what Isabella had to say:
