When the tree was up but not decorated, Braydon asked if he could put the star on top. I told him I would save that job for him. I wished I had it on video as I knew Braydon was afraid of heights but didn't know how afraid he was (he takes after his Uncle Marshall). After two attempts, with cheering from Maren, Ryan and me, Braydon was able to put the start on the tree. Look at that face of sheer accomplishment.

House is Finally Decorated for Christmas
This has been one of the slowest Christmas decorating years of my life. Although last year was difficult because mom had died in September. This year is because my body is dragging. But, nothing is going to kill the Christmas spirit this year.
I wish you could see the lights better in this picture. But I promise you there are lots of lights on that tree.
My Christmas village will never measure up to Glen's (my nephew), but I love what I have and so do all the little ones. (Dad, notice the light house...couldn't pass that one up)
Here are a few of the other decorations in the house.

Yes, lots of M & M's in the glass Christmas tree. At our house, you have to have Christmas M&M's (Emma and Hayes love the mint M&M's)
I usually put my Dreamsicle Nativity Scene on the Baker's rack, but there are too many little baby and toddler hands in Grandma's house. So, I needed to improvise.
There is the Dreamsicle nativity scene. The black post? The piano lamp. Stupid me, I should have taken the lamp off the piano.
Eric made this clock many years ago and the tree is about the only size I can fit in the piano room. Charlie Brown tree?
This is my Christmas treasure. Mom made it for me many years ago. Everyone who comes into our house loves the nativity scene and they are so surprised that the pieces are not made out of wood.

Now you can see the lights on the tree but you can't see all the ornaments. I guess you will have to put both tree pictures together.
I love all the decorations, but I love all my nativity scenes the best as they remind me of the true meaning of Christmas; the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I love ALL of your Christmas decorations. Out of all your pictures I think the Dreamsicle Nativity scene is my favorite. I used to collect the figurines when I was younger :)
