Let it Snow! Let It Snow!

Can you believe it? Snow in Beaumont on December 4? We hit a record today because it was the earliest in a year that there was snow. And it was so much fun. If only it had lasted until tomorrow. But, I had a blast watching it come down remembering the days in New York when it would snow. We built snow forts, had snow ball fights, and would walk in snow so deep the snow would fall into our boots.

I waited all afternoon for the rain to turn to snow and here is evidence that it finally did. One correction in the video by the announcer, we did not have snow twice this year. Our other snow fall was in 2008.

It is snowing even harder now and starting to stick.

So beautiful with the snow and the Christmas lights.

Chad arrives with Emma, Hayes, and their friends
Mark and Sydney. They were so excited.

OK, so he is a little pathetic looking. But,
in Beaumont you build what you can. He
does have a carrot nose and the kids used
Oreo cookies for the eyes and buttons.
Hayes and Mark putting the final touch
on the snowman.
From left to right Emma holding Gabi,
Hayes, Sydney holding Drake and
Mark in front.
Braydon finally made it over to the house.
We didn't think he would make it because
his asthma is so bad right now. But,
here we have Hayes, Braydon, and Emma
and Gabi in the back.
And our beautiful house. Kyle, my great
photographer did something with my camera
so the pictures would come out in the dark.
Look how the lights look like butterflies.
My mom will love that.

Although it didn't last very long, the kids had so much fun. They were cold, they were wet, but enjoyed every bit of the snow they could. Actually, the snowman was made also from our neighbors' backyard snow. It was a fun day for me as I was finishing up Christmas decorating, listening to Christmas music and watching the snow fall. Memories from the past, and now we made new memories this evening. Let it Snow, let it snow!!
