A Day at the Mall

We decided while Emma and Hayes were here during Christmas break, we would have a day of fun and no sitting around the house playing Nintendo DSi. We planned a day at the book store and the mall and we had a blast.

One of Emma and Hayes' favorite things to do is to go bungee jumping at Parkdale Mall. Here is Hayes getting ready to get jumping. I did allow him to jump in a Houston Texans shirt and not Dallas Cowboys (my team) because I love him so much.

Hayes jumping away
After jumping twice, I think Hayes ran
out of energy
OK, I admit I don't know how to work my
camera correctly. I turned it so that we
could see Emma jumping so high, but that
leaves my video looking like Emma is jumping
from wall to wall.
Here is Emma jumping higher than ever. She
is so light that she can jump very high on this thing.

The kids talked Meigan, Chad's girlfriend,
into jumping on the bungee jump. Mind you,
Meigan is the same age as Chad; but she is
as light as a feather. The look on her face is
"I can't believe the kids talked me into this"
Meigan is so light that she just flew
up to the top. At one point, she looked
like Tinkerbell.
Meigan and Hayes had a great time
jumping together.
Drake didn't want to go jumping so he
settled for a few rides. Here he is with
Hayes.
Drake is a cutie, but Emma is gorgeous and
growing up way too quickly. She is great with
the kids.
This is Drake, Meigan's little guy. He has a
smile that can melt you in a minute. He
chose to ride the train in the mall. I wish so
much that Blake could have been there with
him. They would make a perfect pair with
their love of trains.

Drake was able to drive the train as the
engineer.
Next time Blake is here at Christmas, we
have to get Drake on the train with him. I
really missed Blake when I saw Drake on
this train.

Maren and Emma are more like sisters than
they are aunt and niece. I don't know what
the faces were for, but I am sure they were
joking around and sisters do.
OK, Emma is 13 and Maren is 25 going on 6 or 7?
These two crack me up.
So, Emma takes the pictures with Maren, but
when I try to get a picture of her by herself
before we go, this is what I get. Top of head.
Back of head.
Gotcha Emma!! (She was tying her new converse
that are like 5 different colors)
We had a great time that day, and we looked forward to more fun together. So, the day before they had to leave we made a trip to Chuck E. Cheese. I didn't have my camera with me, but maybe Maren can put them on her blog. We met up with Gena Davis (a great friend of mine) and Mitchell and Marissa; Meigan, Syd, Mark and Drake; and Maren and Braydon. I wish Gabi could have been there but they had already made plans for the day. And the Brown family, Kim, Kaylin, Maren, Blake and Jocie--will you please get down here so we can have fun with you, too!!

This is a picture of Emma, Marissa, and Syd. There is a place at Chuck E. Cheese where you can get your picture taken (for one token--great bargain). The girls decided to take a picture and I took a picture of the picture. They had just as much fun as the little ones. I guess there is a little child in each one of us no matter what our age.
