Maren's Birthday

Whenever I have a birthday, age doesn't mean much to me. But, when one of my children have a birthday, that's when I realize that age is really creeping up on me. Maren turned 25 this past Thursday. I really don't know where 25 years have gone, and now my baby is having her second baby.

The day of our little get together, Braydon went with me to Krogers to find a cake. We couldn't find any of the decorated ones with chocolate cake and white icing. No ice cream cake for Maren. She wasn't about to make her own Baskin Robbins cake. We ended up with a chocolate cake that had white icing and Oreos on top. Braydon decided as we were walking down the baking aisle that his mommy needed a princess cake. Therefore, when we arrived home, off went the Oreo cookies and on went the castle, princesses and candles.
And as any little child does at their mommy's
birthday party, they help blow out the candles.
Doesn't everybody put their birthday card to
their ear and listen to what it says?! OK, it
was one of those singing cards which she received
from Meigan and Chad. The best was the gift
inside--a certificate for a pedicure, every pregnant
woman's dream.
This was Marshall and Shannon's gift--a pink
baby book. Obviously, Shannon is thinking
this baby is a girl. Now, that would be sweet.
I hope you are right Shannon.
This piece of crumpled up material is a
beautiful maternity shirt I bought for Maren.
Thank goodness it is wrinkle free!!
Kyle has always been the family clown and he
pulled a good one on Maren. She takes all the
beautiful paper out of the gift bag and pulls out
a bag of Depends. Very funny Kyle, however,
at nine months of pregnancy in July those might
just come in handy!!
It looks to me as if these two are planning
the next birthday gag. Let's see, who's next...
Kyle!!!
This video will allow you to hear the Petersen
men and their ability to laugh. I have no idea
what they were laughing at, but you can't help
but laugh with them.

Here's a few more chuckles

And one last laugh!!

Hope their laughs made you chuckle today
