Why is it that we wait for special days to tell someone how we feel about them? Birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day? Wouldn't it be nice to say something special just because we want to? Well, I wish to; and my special something that I want to say is about "Little Maren" although she soon will be Young Woman Maren.
Sometimes you feel extra connected to someone as if your spirit and their spirit are very close. We may not know why, but it happens. This has happened to the relationship that I have with Maren. All of my grandchildren are special. I love each one equally the same. But, what is it about this special spirit that Maren possesses?
"Little Maren's" birthday is on the 18th. So, I want to send her special words before her birthday. Today is a special day only because I am thinking about you Maren. Ever since you were little, I knew that your heart held a special spirit. I could talk to you about the scriptures and you would understand what I was explaining. There were promises that we made to each other because of certain scriptures that we read together.
Now you will be 12 years old and into Young Women as a Beehive. Your group of Beehives are so lucky to have you be with them. They will have a friend who is fun to be with, a friend who is loyal, a friend who is close to the Spirit, and a friend who loves being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I am so grateful for you, Maren, and I send my love to you not only on your birthday but always.
