We are Having Fun with Baby Kyle

When you receive a phone call on a Saturday afternoon from Marshall and Shannon asking you if you are up to a visit, what do you think Grandma and Grandpa say? YES!! And here is what little Kyle had to say:

"Uh, Papa I came to visit you, not
take a nap with you."

"Oh, yeah, I'm cute!! You can't tell Papa,
because you are asleep."
"Grandma is fun. She is awake when I am with
her and she is a Dallas Cowboys' fan. I will
be one when I am older. Right Grandma?"
"When Grandma touches my lips, I make
funny faces at her. Then she keeps
staring at me."
"Mommy likes me to stay awake during the day
so that I will sleep at night. But, look at my
big yawn: man, I am tired."
"I let my daddy hold my cousin Isabella. Wow,
she is so much bigger than I am. My daddy must
have really big muscles." "My cousin Isabella likes to reach out and
touch my little feet (hers are big). And she likes
my bib, too. Mine is blue, she needs a pink one."
"OK, she is squishing me in Daddy."
"I don't know if my cousin likes me. Look at
her face."
"She's thinking about it Daddy. Look at the
smile that is beginning to show on her face."
"She likes me, Daddy. She really, really
likes me."

Isabella and Kyle said it all for us. We had a fun time holding our new, cute, little, and handsome grandson. And it was fun seeing Isabella and Kyle together. Thanks Marshall and Shannon for asking if you could come over for a visit. Any time. We will sacrifice all of our time any time; let me reword that....because it is not a sacrifice.

aww.. that little bubba!! gotta start them out right... with the cowboys! i SO remember being like shannon and trying to keep hazel up during the day. i wanted night sleep so badly! (still do =)) hopefully kyle's being good to them that way.
so the asparagus... i usually do them like ina garten on the food network. she tosses them in some olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper, then i lay them out on a foiled baking sheet (no mess!) and bake them at 400 for about 7 minutes, then i take them out, sprinkle parmesan and bake for about 2 more minutes. i guess it depends on how thick they are... i like them still a little crisp. it's okay if you don't have anybody else who likes them... more for you!
