We stopped at Tombstone Arizona on our way to California. This is an old western town from back in the 1800's. The town has been restored almost back to its original look. Modernization has infiltrated the buildings as there are restaurants and stores in what probably were little western time shops. The weather was hot, almost 100 degrees; but with no humidity, the weather was very bearable and made for a fun day.
This truly reminded me of so many western TV shows
I would watch with my mom. There was nothing like Bonanza
and Little House on the Prairie.
We ate here and I do have to say that I could have pictured
the villainous cowboys coming in and starting a brawl.
Just a few other pictures of places we enjoyed seeing.
I remember similar old cash registers at the five and dime
store in Seaford where my mom used to work.
Evil looking?
No, they were very nice.
The courthouse which was built in 1882
This is not the judge
A cute little place; hope you can read the sign
Old bones? Don't know how old.
We didn't go for a ride. I couldn't take being enclosed in
the stagecoach along with the smell. Good thing I was
born a little later in time when we had cars
A few more skulls
The good ol' OK Corral
I am not really sure who these ladies are
The Sheriff checking in on the owner of the store
We had a good time and it was fun to see a little bit of history from the Wild West.
