In our travel to Pennsylvania for Glen's wedding, we have stopped this evening in Florence, Kentucky. Compared to our 100 degree weather in Texas with humidty that makes it feel like 107, it is like heaven here. When we got out of the car, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Cool air, low humidity--you can actually walk and not sweat. Totally amazing for me in the middle of July. We are listening to the news and the weather is on. Obviously, the people here do not know what true, sticky humidity is and how it affects your body. The weatherman is telling us how humid it is here--I don't think so!
No matter how cool or hot it is outside, it is always snowing in our hotel room. I am sitting here in long lounging pants, socks on my feet, a shirt and a sweatshirt jacket; and I am still cold. Eric is sitting at the desk with no socks on his feet, his green shorts (I am sure you all know what green shorts I am talking about), and a short sleeved shirt. He is not cold at all. I'm ready to get a shovel and start shoveling the snow off the floor!!
Tomorrow we will be in Titusville, Pennsylvania. I am excited to see my parents, my sister, and two of my brothers, nieces, nephews, and a homemade ice cream store. OK, so maybe we will go to the homemade ice cream store. In fact, I am pretty sure we will as there is not much to do in Titusville, Pennsylvania. If you want to see a town that basically has nothing (but it does have a Dairy Queen), go on line and Google Titusville. You will see all that they don't have.
Wish I could send some cool air down to Beaumont. I know you guys are still sweating. And no rain--I am sure my flowers will be completely dead when I get home. With this weather, I am not planting any more flowers until the fall; which for us, will probably start in December.
