I LOVE Colorado

Today we made it to Grand Junction, Colorado. Before arriving, we
thought we would stop here and get something to drink (only kidding).
We couldn't resist taking a picture of this cute little building.
When we travel, we try to stay on a budget. Before we left
Beaumont, Eric told me where we would be staying. He said there
was a Super 8 Motel in Georgetown, a beautiful place in snow country.
Can you believe this place? Budget or not, we did not stay here.
I don't know if there were even 10 rooms at this Super 8.
God's majesty is impossible to describe in words. You have to see it
to believe it. The mountains are absolutely majestic. They make one
feel so small in this great world of ours created by His hands.
Just more of His glorious work.
This view is one of my favorites. And can you believe, I
took this picture while Eric was driving at 70 mph?
I wish this one had come out better. But at 70 mph you have to click and
hope for the best. At the top of the mountain is a red house. I guess
you had to be there to appreciate it.
What can I say? Everything was just awesome.
This is Vail, Colorado. Believe it or not there are people in this
picture skiing down the slopes.

The trip has been great so far. We went through Vail and all the way to Grand Junction to avoid the snow tomorrow in the mountains. However, looks like we are going to hit snow in Utah. I guess we will see how Eric's car drives through the snowy Interstate. If worse comes to worse, we will have to find a hotel and get to Utah on Saturday. We will see what the morning brings.

These are beautiful pictures! I have never seen mountains or snow like you're seeing! What a blessing for you! One of these days Chris and I are going to take a drive up north! Y'all have lots of fun! And keep sharing pictures with us ... kind of allows me the feeling of seeing those beautiful mountains for myself! :)

Wow ... could you imagine living in the red house on the big hill? I personally think your picture turned out great ... snapping a picture while traveling 70mph ... you did good! :)

Y'all stay warm up there in the north!
