I have been walking two miles a day, well, that is until the big fall 7 weeks ago. Hatcher, the family dog, is my walking buddy. Obviously, in a cast you cannot speed walk two miles. Heck, I can't even speed walk from the kitchen to the back of the house. There is a great satisfaction when you get home from that walk. You begin your day thinking "I have already accomplished something today". Hatcher has really missed his walks. He can figure out how to get out of the back gate and in a dash he is in the front of the house.
Today, there was a woman walking in front of our house and Hatcher started to bark and ran over to her. I yelled at Hatcher to come back; but you could tell that this woman was trained in becoming friends with an unknown dog. I told her I was sorry that he kept bothering her and told her how he missed his walks since I wrecked up my ankle. I have no idea who this woman was, she had a beautiful English accent and in that accent she says to me "If you put a harness on him I will take him for his walk". Can you believe that?
Hatcher was so excited when I got the leash. I am sure he thought I was taking him for our speed walk. I think he has missed his walk so much that he doesn't care who walks him as long as somebody does. And so, today, my dog was in heaven being walked by an unknown woman with an English accent who was an angel.

That is so wonderful! You'll have to find out who this woman is and send her something.
