Oh, the Joy of Grandchildren

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is nothing like having grandchildren. Being a grandparent is a totally different experience than being a parent. Look how relaxed Eric is while holding Blake. You gotta love life.

Jocie and me.
Grandchildren are smarter than we are. As a little girl, I learned to play Canasta. Through the years I have totally forgotten all that was learned in playing the game. I learned once again and never won. Can you tell how seriously Maren takes the game? She is very competitive. I wonder where she gets that from?! Choices are a) her grandpas b)her dad c)her mom d)all of the above
Now, look at Kaylin playing Canasta. Does she take this game as seriously as Maren? You be the judge.
This is Blake's "cheese" face. If he sees you with the camera and you tell him to say cheese, he makes this face and holds it there until you tell him that you are finished taking the picture. Jocie didn't make a "cheese" face.
Maren takes after her mom in lots of ways. But when it comes to being in the picture when you are 10 years old, she is just like Kim was at that age. You have to admit, though, that she is a cutie. And, she loves her Grandpa. They are two peas in a pod.

We had so much fun with these four grandchildren, and we even enjoyed being with Rich and Kim. The time went by so quickly. We couldn't believe that yesterday it was time to leave for home. But, we get to see them in June for Marshall's wedding. At least there isn't a big gap in time.
